Man without mass

by Miloš Ilic

Produced by Ex-Teatar Fest in Pančevo, Serbia in June 2013.

The performance "Čovek bez mase" is a production about the life in Serbian prisons. It is a result of a collaboration between 2 directors, (Ana Popović and Marija Lipkovski), a playwright Miloš Ilić and 12 actors. The process was based on a series of interviews with the inmates of the local prison of Pančevo. Out of this the directors created workshops for the actors, in which the material for the play was developed. Out of this material the young playwright Miloš Ilić created the drama, which was his diplome work on Faculty of dramatic arts in Belgrade. The performers - inmates perform in a ring: the audience is their prison. The most outsdanding element is the music, created intaerly by the performers, which is the only expression of freedom that they have.

The show is expected to be performed in various Serbian prisons for the inmates in 2016.
